Wang Yi said that next year is the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Myanmar. The two sides should organize a series of celebrations, plan and prepare high-level exchanges between the two countries, and comprehensively promote cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, humanities and other fields. The two sides should carry forward the friendship of "cell waves", deepen comprehensive strategic cooperation, and work together to build a community of destiny.
Wang Yi said that China is willing to work with Myanmar to promote the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor from conceptual planning to the substantive construction stage, and to turn it into a landmark project for China-Myanmar joint construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative. Infrastructure connectivity is the backbone of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, and the two sides should carry out relevant cooperation. The two sides should also speed up projects such as the Jiao Piao Special Economic Zone and the China-Myanmar Border Economic Cooperation Zone.
Wang Yi said that China has always advocated the democratization of international relations, insisted that all countries should treat each other equally, oppose interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and do not support the multilateralization of bilateral issues. China's development and revitalization is an increase in the strength of peace, which will bring development opportunities to all countries in the world, especially neighboring countries. In Myanmar's future national development process, China will stand firmly with the people of Myanmar.
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi thanked China for its support and assistance in maintaining Myanmar's national sovereignty, opposing foreign interference, and promoting economic and social development. Aung San Suu Kyi said that the two sides should take the opportunity of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year to strengthen high-level exchanges, jointly build the "Belt and Road", develop the Myanmar-China economic corridor, and promote practical cooperation in various fields to achieve more results. Myanmar is fully capable of handling its own problems. Myanmar is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with China on international and regional issues and jointly defend the purposes and principles of the UN Charter.
